Carissa is a devoted Wellness Registered Nurse with a strong background in holistic, preventative, and patient-centered care.
Her foundational nursing experience was established at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital, where she worked in Medical-Surgical and Telemetry units with a focus on Gastroenterology/Hepatology, and COVID response care. Carissa brings extensive clinical experience in geriatric and adult care, having served as a skilled home care nurse and clinical care coordinator in Philadelphia.
Her commitment to wellness is deeply personal. She battles severe gastroparesis and dysautonomia —complex conditions that greatly impact her quality of life. Through this she gained a profound understanding of what it means to navigate chronic illness, having to advocate for yourself, and exploring alternative therapies when conventional medicine alone isn’t enough.
With a strong foundation in clinical nursing and a passion for health promotion, she supports traditional medicine with lifestyle-based wellness solutions to support the body, mind, and spirit. Her experience with chronic illness, both personally and professionally, fuels her empathy and drives her to offer compassionate care to every client she serves.
